On Maundy Thursday, we observe Jesus washing His apostles’ feet and instituting Holy Communion. It is on this night that Jesus issues His final command to the disciples and His church: “A new command give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” (John 13:34)

Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion and death of Jesus. This solemn service features songs, readings, and reflections that confront us with the magnitude of our sins and the hopelessness of getting right with God on our own. Instead, Jesus takes on our burdens and dies the death we deserve.
